Ellensburg is the perfect location to have your family photo session. Ellensburg sits in the middle of Washington State and is the home of many iconic things. The historic Ellensburg Rodeo, thousands of acres of farmland, Central Washington University and so much more! Many families including my own call this town home. We are so fortunate to be a part of this community!

Every summer, sunflowers blossom all over the county. A few select farms open up their fields for families to visit and photographers to come host sessions. Hunter Farms is one of those wonderful and gracious farms! Late August, I was able to take a few families to this farm and explore the huge sunflower field while snapping a few photos. *Side note: not all sunflower farms are available for guests and photography. Please do your research and contact individual farmers before entering their properties. Trespassing is NEVER okay. Some ask for a small fee or donation for photography, so please honor their wishes. Also please choose to Leave No Trace and pick up any animal waste or garbage that may be created while you visit. Enjoy!!

A little over an hour east of Seattle, Suncadia Resort is a perfect spot for a quick family getaway!

Gold Creek Pond Maternity Session

On top of Snoqualmie Pass is where you can find Gold Creek Pond! It is an incredibly accessible hiking loop that has stunning mountain views.

Rattlesnake Lake Family Session

Just down the road in North Bend you’ll find Rattlesnake Lake! If the tide is low you can find some cool petrified stumps, lots of water activities and if you’re feeling brave, a short hike up Rattlesnake Ridge!
