Matt + Angelica Epic Adventure Styled Elopement at Mount Rainier National Park was a DREAM. We explored the magical wildflowers and stunning views of Tipsoo Lake which is a popular area to visit in Mount Rainier National Park. It is located in the Sunrise region of Mount Rainier which is the North-Eastern region of the mountain range.
This is the same couple who hopped onto the Styled Engagement Shoot and would you believe we took both session photos IN THE SAME DAY?! We were truly blessed to have such an amazing couple who love each other so deeply and easily show it while we photographed them!
There were two things about this location and day that just made it absolutely magical. The first was the rainbow array of wildflowers that were scattered all around the trail. These wildflowers are only in bloom for a few weeks in the late summer months, so we got really lucky to arrive before they disappeared! We found locations where there were patches of no flowers for our models to stand so that we could follow Leave No Trace principles and not being destructive to the region we were shooting.
The second amazing thing about this location is a small inclined trail we found along the way that has an INCREDIBLE view of Mount Rainier. When you arrive at Tipsoo Lake you will start the trail to your right, go up the incline, and eventually, you will see a path on your right side that leads to a higher incline. The top of that incline is where we ended up for some of the final images you see in this post; it was DREAMY.
PS: Did you know this bouquet was made from grocery store flowers?? We realized a *little* late that we didn’t have a bouquet, so I grabbed some assorted flowers from my local grocery store and threw this together when we got to Tipsoo! Usually, I would recommend hiring a florist to make you an incredible bouquet, but I was glad we had something that worked for our styled elopement!
