Emma + Colin Gold Creek Pond Sunrise Maternity Session

I’m convinced this mama is a magical goddess mermaid. No joke. Emma + Colin’s Gold Creek Pond, Washington maternity session was something out of a dream. We all got up before sunrise and drove about an hour to Gold Creek Pond (one of my favorite locations in Washington) and captured some beautiful moments of the two of them as the sun rose and the world was still quiet.

The great thing about sunrise sessions is that you are much more likely to be completely alone without any other tourists and visitors since most people wait until after breakfast time to venture out to these spots! It was a beautiful experience of wandering through the quietness of a crisp morning on Snoqualmie Pass, chatting about life, the future, how COVID has affected each of our lives and so much more.

Since these photos were taken Emma gave birth to her sweet baby and they celebrated some sweet first holidays together. It is such an honor to get to witness this piece of a couple’s journey; when two grow another with the love that they share. It is a precious time of anticipation as they wait patiently for their babe to grow and enter into this crazy yet beautiful world with them.

Enjoy.

It is important to note that in the wintertime, Gold Creek requires a Sno-Pass on top of the Northwest Forest Pass. Make sure to check the Washington State Parks website for more information on proper permits and passes.
